I’m in Blaskburg, SC, it’s my first day of what I hope is a five year adventure. I’ve checked into the campground and I’ve been setting up my site all afternoon. I have my happy Black Lab with me and she’s trying to figure out why there’s no AC out here, 😆. I set up the tent and kitchen. I do have an electric refrigerator so so food is safe and I don’t need a cooler, but I have three of them just in case.
Thank you for reading my blog, hope you return soon for daily updates.

Camp is completely set up, I still have to tomorrow is start a list of things I need, Velcro wraps for cords is the first thing that comes to mind.
I also cooked my first meal using my electric two burner cooktop, it works fantastic. I had pork chops, pintos and fried potatoes,

Great day today and yesterday, a good friend of mine came for a visit, we went on several walks around the campground including the lake and spillway. Then we saw a snake and decided our walk was over. Great visit all around.
Went on my first hike today, it’s also the first time my 9 year old Lab has ever been hiking, so we only did 3 miles, but she did great, but has slept since we returned to our camp site. She also made 2 new friends, kids from another site, she really took to them, it was fun to watch.
A squirrel chewed a hole in Charlotte’s food container so I’ll buy a metal one soon. I keep it inside the truck now.
